This week I worked on baking the normal map, and texturing the waffle. I also tweaked the grab and point animation based on feedback from last week. In Substance Painter I baked the sculpted waffle onto the game mesh, and used curvature's levels to get the colorations I wanted for the edges. For the point animation, I rotated the wrist joint so the knuckle isn't pointed so high up, and made the starting pose more of a point gesture. For the grab animation I brought in the waffle proxy in Maya so that I had a reference for when the hand grabs the waffle.
